After Karim Konate helped the Ivory Coast to start the AFCON with a win (after coming on the 62nd minute), Sekou Koita and Dorgeles Nene have now also had a chance to celebrate a group opening win for Mali.
The Eagles took a 2-0 win against South Africa, with the first goal coming from a Sekou Koita assist (60'). Having started the tie, our striker rattled the crossbar with a well-taken free-kick and Hamari Traore was able to turn it in from close range.
Shortly before the end of the game - with the scoreline 2-0, one Bull was exchanged for another as Dorgeles Nene came on for Sekou Koita and gained some playing time at the big tournament.
