On Monday evening, the 26th Bruno Awards ceremony was hosted by the VdF Austrian footballers' association and younion. Players from national professional leagues and the Austrian national team voted and our club took three honours:
- Coach of the season | Matthias Jaissle
Our coach took one record after another last season and winning the 2021/22 coach of the season award was a logical and deserved consequence. - Rising star of the season | Nici Seiwald
Nici was a player that only absolute experts could have picked out at the start out of the 2021/22 season, but the academy graduate played his way into a regular starting spot within the space of a few weeks and delivered in the UEFA Champions League against the top teams in Europe. - Team of the season | FC Red Bull Salzburg
We win as a collective! Our victories are not just a result of our individual quality, as there is always a determined team performance behind them. Our Red Bulls not only won the league and the cup again but shone in the Champions League - we could not have possibly done any better!
Matthias Jaissle, Nici Seiwald and our captain Andreas Ulmer were at the ceremony to collect the awards - with the two players linking up straight away with the Austrian national team ahead of their UEFA Nations League matches this week:
