FC Red Bull Salzburg have extended the contract of Christian Zawieschitzky ahead of time to 30 June 2028.
The 17-year-old from Tirol came in the summer of 2020 from the youth ranks of Wacker Innsbruck to us and played in the individual age groups of the Red Bull Football Academy (winning three league titles).
Zawieschitzky then moved to our co-operation club FC Liefering (10 appearances), has been in the Austrian U18 national squad and is part of our UEFA Youth League team. He recently shone with a penalty save against Celtic and is set to appear again on Tuesday 4 March at home to Atletico Madrid in the last 16.
