2008 (as hosts), 2016, 2021 and now 2024 – the Austria national team have qualified for a European championship for a fourth time! The 1-0 win against Azerbaijan secured qualification for the team coached by Ralf Rangnick, with Sweden left with no chance of closing the gap on the Austrians.

Having been called up into the squad for the first time last week, Samson Baidoo made his international debut after coming on against Belgium, and the 19-year-old centre-back celebrated from the bench as qualification was confirmed. The Austria goal was once again kept superbly by Alexander Schlager - who took a clean sheet.
Now we can all look forward to the big tournament in June 2024 in neighbouring Germany!
