Gideon Mensah has left our Red Bulls and has made a permanent move to France. The 24-year-old from Ghana, who was on loan recently at Ligue 1's Girondins Bordeaux, has signed a contract with AJ Auxerre.
The player with 11 international caps joined Salzburg in 2016 from his homeland. He first played for our co-operation club FC Liefering (47 appearances) and our UEFA Youth League team (seven appearances). He then went on loan to Sturm Graz (spring 2019), Zulte Waregem (2019/20), Vitoria Guimaraes (2020/21) and in Bordeaux.
