All quiet this summer? No way! So many of our boys will be in action for their national teams in the coming days. Some are preparing for the European championship, while others are aiming to make the next World Cup. Here is an overview of our internationals:
- Flavius Daniliuc is in the Austrian national squad for friendly internationals against Serbia (4 June) and Switzerland (8 June). Alexander Schlager is not in the squad for now, but if he recovers from injury in time may make the cut when the final group is named on 7 June.
- Samson Baidoo is set to play for Austria U21 in a friendly match v Scotland (7 June).
- Mamady Diambou, Daouda Guindo and Dorgeles Nene are in the Mali squad for World Cup qualifiers against Ghana (6 June) and Madagascar (11 June).
- Lucas Gourna-Douath is set to represent France U20 at the Maurice-Revello tournament, which will see his side face Ivory Coast (3 June), Mexico (5 June), South Korea (7 June) and Saudi Arabia (9 June).
- Strahinja Pavlovic and Petar Ratkov are sure of their spots in the Serbia squad for EURO 2024 and face friendly matches against Austria (4 June) and Sweden (8 June).
- Luka Sucic, who will also be going to EURO 2024, has friendly matches with Croatia against North Macedonia (3 June) and Portugal (8 June).
- Justin Omoregie, who has been a co-operation player at FC Liefering, has been called up by Austria U21 for the friendly match v Scotland (7 June).
