Karim Konate nominated for Kopa Trophy

Our boy named in top ten young footballers worldwide

In Karim Konate, one of our Red Bulls has been named as one of the ten nominees for the so-called Kopa Trophy, which France Football have awarded in co-operation with UEFA to the world's best U21 players each year since 2018. Last year the accolade went to Jude Bellingham (Dortmund/Real Madrid)

Winner to be announced in October

Karim has been out with a knee injury recently but our Ivorian striker played himself into the limelight by becoming top scorer of the 2023/24 ADMIRAL Bundesliga season after helping his national team win the 2024 AFCON earlier in the year. The winner of the Kopa Trophy will be announced on 28 October in Paris, with the decision being taken by a jury of former Ballon d’Or winners.
