There were three, and now there will be four. When we face SK Rapid Vienna on Sunday 15 May at 14:30 CET away in the penultimate matchday of the ADMRIAL Bundesliga, expect the spectacular. To get in the mood for the Austrian Klassiker, we wanted to look back on our three meetings already this season. The best thing about them all - we won all of them!
8th match day | Thriller sealed late on
Over 17,000 fans drove our Red Bulls on to a win in September 2021. It was goalless in the Red Bull Arena for so long until a penalty in the 79th minute brought us in front. Karim Adeyemi, having been fouled, stepped up and converted clinically from the spot. Brenden Aaronson then sealed it in stoppage time after Noah Okafor sprinted away from his team-mates and set the American up perfectly.
19th game week | Comeback win sets us up for Bayern
It was Friday evening in the capital, just a few days before our last 16 first leg v FC Bayern – there was tension in the air as we really wanted to get a win take into the big match. It didn't start according to plan, though, and we found ourselves behind from the 18th minute, despite a dominant performance. We didn't give up though and got our reward with goals from Brenden Aaronson (64') and Noah Okafor (77'). We still remember the dream assist from Junior Adamu on the right fondly.
25th match day | Last-minute Sladdi Party
He had a fan display in his honour before kick-off, and in the final few seconds the substitute became the match winner at the sold-out Red Bull Arena. "It's only football that can have these kind of stories," said a highly emotional Zlatko Junuzovic after the game. Luka Sucic's spectacular effort from distance gave us the lead (17') before Ferdy Druijf equalised. Then all hell broke loose with Sladdi's strike in the fourth minute of stoppage time as he put his injury problems behind him to seal the big match in front of the North Stand. What sheer emotions!
31st match day | Away at the Green and Whites
