After sealing our tenth title in a row, an overjoyed Jaissle, Seiwald & Co had some emotional words to share. While one of our boys was sticking to Red Bull and water tonight, the others made the most of the beer showers. The incredible scenes came after our 2-1 win over Sturm Graz!
Views on the 2022/23 title
This season was a huge challenge for our young team. We had tough rivals with Graz, who made life very difficult for us. Sturm were doing incredibly well, and you have to respect that. That makes it even sweeter to win the title here against our biggest rivals - it's an incredible story. We have put everything into achieving this aim over the whole year. The entire club have worked incredibly well in recent years, and the expectations are high, but we have done what we set out to do, and we will go and truly celebrate that today.
It is really special! It was a match packed with emotions, and now we are all very pleased - it's such a huge relief. It was a great season from us, and we are totally deserved champions. To make it 2-1 just before full-time at home against our title rivals in front of a packed stadium is an incredible story!
We are overjoyed! Winning with a last-minute goal - I could not have dreamt anything better than that. The next few weeks will be very emotional for me. I really appreciate what the club has done for me, and I'm just delighted that I can say farewell with a title.
The beer tastes really good after this match, for sure - it's great weather for a beer shower. It's an incredible feeling! There were highs and lows along the way, but we grew together as a team, and everything else is secondary to that. We have kept the title here for the tenth time in a row. We've made history, and that is the most important thing!
I'm just thrilled! To win a title with this club makes be really proud! We were 0-1 down and came back - the team deserved it. I don't drink alcohol - Red Bull and water will do though.
It feels super! We have gone through a really tough phase, but we managed it. I am really proud of every individual, and I cannot even describe how pleased I am. It's an historic moment for me too. Everything started here. Every decisive moment in my career has come here. It will be really emotional to say goodbye!
I have had three beer showers - I am looking forward to having a normal shower later, too. I am proud of the team, the coach and the staff. We showed what we are made of in the second half, and now we will celebrate! Am I a party monster? That's a secret. Only joking, we still have two matches, after all, and then we'll get to enjoy a holiday!
