The international break provides us with a chance to take a look back at the great work of our youngsters in recent weeks. We have so much good news to share!
U16 take third in Croatia
Eight major teams took part last week in the 2023 edition of the Istria Youth Cup, a prestigious U16 tournament - including the youngsters of our co-operation partner FC Liefering! The lads from Salzburg became the highest-scoring side in the tournament with 4-0 wins over Udinese and Rangers in the group stage, only for a narrow 0-1 defeat to follow against PAOK. That put them into a third-place play off, in which our boys shone again to take a brilliant 6-2 win over Genk. Our Young Bulls claimed a superb third place with the only side to beat them, PAOK, winning the tournament.
Awesome academy sides
While the academy U16 side have a few games in hand in the ÖFB Youth League due to their travels, our other academy outfits have a proud record to look back on so far this season! Both the U18 and U15 teams are top of their tables with 100% records - with a combined overall goal difference of 45-6! Both teams took superb wins against Linz Athletik at the weekend.
U16w girls ride wave of success
Our U16w team are also doing great! With 18 of a possible 21 points and three wins in a row, Dusan Pavlovic's side are setting the pace in the regional U14-1. Sparkassenliga – level on points Seekirchen! Things will continue thick and fast with an away match at Austria Salzburg this Sunday.
