Israel U21 have made it through to the knockout stages of the U21 European championship – and Oscar Gloukh has played a big part in their success! UEFA named him Player of the Match in the vital 1-0 group stage win over the Czech Republic, during which he assisted the winning goal, due to his 'technical ability, oversight and creativity'. Our midfield youngster also assisted Israel's goal in the draw against Germany.
Gloukh & Co now face a quarter-final encounter on Saturday at 18:00 against hosts Georgia.
Out of the tournament already are, however, Nico Mantl, Roko Simic and Ignace Van der Brempt. Roko Simic made a brief appearance in Croatia's match against Ukraine, while Inni played nine minutes of a 2-2 draw against Georgia.
