At our most recent Bundesliga home match against SK Austria Klagenfurt, we had the pleasure of welcoming the eight partner clubs of our Porsche 'Turbo for Talents' youth development programme. The partner meeting was held to facilitate an exchange of experiences between the clubs. Along with providing interesting insights into youth development, our focus was on further deepening our understanding of the topic of sustainability.
There were two representatives of the Red Bull Academy, our co-operation partner in youth development, there, along with the Porsche partner clubs, including the Stuttgarter Kickers, Borussia Mönchengladbach, VfB Stuttgart, FC Erzgebirge Aue, RB Leipzig, Bietigheim-Bissingen Steelers and the Ludwigsburg Porsche Basketball Akademie (BBA).
The company from Stuttgart has been helping society for years together with clubs from football, basketball and ice hockey as part of the Porsche Youth Development 'Turbo for Talents' programme. Various activities such as the Porsche Turbo Award, Porsche Kids Days and development programmes of all the partner clubs are aiding social development.
A topic at the partner meeting last weekend was a concept that the Porsche 'Turbo for Talents' youth development programme is building at all partner clubs in 'Talents Hand in Hand'. The project has the aim of not only allowing youth teams to be taught in a theoretical manner by teachers but also to enable regular exchanges with society. Together with social institutions (regional co-operation partners), social topics like inclusion, sustainable diets, health and a responsible management of resources are explored at an early age.
Several times a year, social and ecological projects will be held with the youth teams of the partner clubs.
