Another one of our boys is heading for Yorkshire in Rasmus Kristensen. The Danish full-back will be united again at Leeds with former Salzburg coach Jesse Marsch and Brenden Aaronson, who joined the Premier League club around two weeks ago.
Kristensen, Aaronson and Marsch together again
The 24-year-old Danish defender joined us in summer 2019 from Ajax and became an increasingly key figure in our side as time went by. After three Austrian titles, three cup wins and a total of 107 appearances (with 13 goals and 19 assists), Kristensen is leaving the Austrian Bundesliga for the Premier League.

Sporting director Christoph Freund:
Rasmus's move is not a surprise for us, as he has always been open in discussions in recent times about his aim of moving to one of Europe's top leagues. The last three years with him at FC Red Bull Salzburg saw him win three doubles, and we had some incredible times in the Champions League too.
Rasmus will be someone who is remembered by the entire club and our fans not just as a great player, but also a fantastic person. I am sure that he will become a key player in the Premier League right from the start with his playing style. We wish you all the very best in Leeds, Rasmus!
Rasmus Kristensen:
My time at FC Red Bull Salzburg was incredible. I found my love for football again here after a difficult phase before. I grew as a player in this time, and had so many special moments here. The matches in the Champions League were really emotional, above all, and I will always remember them.
I will take everything I experienced here to my new club, and I am very grateful to everyone here in Salzburg for that.
