Day 2 | Jaissle and Freund get stuck in

It's getting hot in Bramberg

The temperatures of up to 33 degrees left their mark on us on our training camp today. Our exhausted boys were happy to head back between sessions and rest. We trained in individual groups in the afternoon either on bikes or in the gym. We grabbed hold of Roko Simic and asked him how it is all going.

The location here is just spectacular - it's heaven on earth! I am sharing my room with Junior Adamu, and Luka Sucic is always coming over to us.

I don't normally do this, but today I had to take a nap during the day as the training and the weather were so draining. I have been playing stuff with the others also in my free time or watching films. We know the mix of sun and rain we've found here from Salzburg.

The last few days have been really tough due to the weather and training intensity, and we took things easy this afternoon as a result. Tomorrow we want to be fit too for the match against Legia Warsaw. As a striker, you want to score in every match you can, and I am determined to get on the scoresheet tomorrow and help us win.

While a lot of our Red Bulls took time to rest, our coaching and support team showed they were still brimming with desire in the afternoon with a kick-about together. There was no holding anything back, as the clash between Matthias Jaissle and Christoph Freund shows.

We have our next test tomorrow with our coach back on the sidelines. Our second pre-season friendly is to be played in Bramberg at 18:00 CET against Legia Warsaw – with the temperatures expected to be lower and the sun a rarity tomorrow.
