A season fit for the history books is now over. We will forever remember some legendary moments, records and … fascinating numbers. We have picked our top nine figures to tell the story of our season:
168,497 spectators visited our Austrian Bundesliga matches at the Red Bull Arena this season. After attendance restrictions in recent years, it was incredible to see so many supporters back and enjoying our games. We only had three home matches in 2021/22 played completely behind closed doors.
19 league goals were scored by Karim Adeyemi – making him joint top scorer with Giacomo Vrioni of WSG Tirol. A Red Bull therefore finished Austrian top scorer for the 12th time.
0 defeats were taken at home this season. We went unbeaten in our own ground in the Austrian Bundesliga, UNIQA ÖFB Cup and in the UEFA Champions League. We have made the Red Bull Arena a fortress together!
3,788 minutes in action were clocked up by the ever reliable Rasmus Kristensen! The Dane had by far and away the most playing time for us this season. In second and third were Philipp Köhn (3,630) and Nici Seiwald (3,561).
32 different players were used by Matthias Jaissle in the 2021/22 season in all competitions. Rotation was the key to our success!
20.9 years old was the average age of our starting XI in our cup last 16 tie v SKN St. Pölten. That made for our youngest ever team in a competitive match!
10 Red Bulls made the Austrian Bundesliga debuts over the course of the season. Most recently, Amankwah Forson and January signing Ignace Van der Brempt made their first appearances against LASK at the start of March. Our youngest debutant this season was Roko Simic at the age of 18, one month and 30 days.
15 penalties were awarded to us in regular time (9 in Austria Bundesliga, 5 in Champions League, 1 in the Austrian Cup). 10 found the net, but five were missed.
9 Austrian Bundesliga titles in a row are under our name – we are SERIAL CHAMPIONS!
