After four wonderful seasons, it is time to go our separate ways. We met Sladdi for one last interview and chatted to him about his time in Salzburg.
His last season was plagued by injury misfortune, unfortunately. The pain was so much at times that football was impossible, with the 34-year-old even unable to play with his own children. The gifted midfielder was still able, however, to make a dream comeback at the end of the season. He scored a winner in stoppage time in the Austrian Klassiker v Rapid Vienna, right in front of our North Stand. He was ecstatic about that, and went on to complete an Austrian double to crown a wonderful spell at our club.
"I enjoyed every title, I enjoyed every match, it was always fun here," says Zlatko looking back.
