You decided it - Amar Dedic has not only claimed the Austrian title, he has also earned the honour of our Player of the Month for May 2023! There was fierce competition with Nici Seiwald and Sekou Koita hot on the heels of the right-back for a long time, but the Bosnian won in the end by a mere 500 votes.
1st - Amar Dedic (40.39%)
Amar saved his strongest performances in May for the toughest opponents - with our Bosnian right-back unstoppable against LASK and Sturm with his attacking drive. The 20-year-old brought us back into the match against the Graz side with our equaliser, before teeing up Karim Konate's title-winning goal in the final minutes.
2nd - Nicolas Seiwald (24.35%)
Nobody is quite as consistent as Nici Seiwald. The Salzburg boy didn't manage to score or assist in May, but he did an incredible job of deputising for the injured Lucas Gourna-Douath in defensive midfield. The 22-year-old impressed with his tough tackling and had a big role too in moving the ball forward.
3rd - Sekou Koita (20.34%)
The agile attacker from Mali scored a brace as we beat Rapid Vienna 2-1 at home and provided the assist for our winning goal against LASK. Sekou has been a beast of a creative force in attacking midfield. He set up more shots than any other player in the big match against Sturm Graz, for instance. The 23-year-old can look back proudly on a really strong month.
4th - Benjamin Sesko (14.92%)
Benji continued his incredible spring form in May. He was a match winner along with Junior Adamu in the final home match against Austria Klagenfurt, providing a goal and an assist. In the 1-0 win away to LASK, the Slovenian scored the only goal of the game.
