The new season is ahead of us in women's football too, with two teams this time (U16w and U20w)! Our plans for the future are underway.
We are starting a new multi-level trial process for our U16 women's team for the 2025/26 season. Female footballers born in 2010 and 2011 from the regions of Salzburg, Upper Austria, Carinthia, Tirol and Vorarlberg as well as Bavaria (provided they live within 50 km of the Red Bull Football Academy) can register.
Should you live within Austria but over 60km from Salzburg, you can only join our club by changing schools when entering the higher level.
Players from states of Austria not listed above cannot take part in the trials. We recommend that they try academies in the Eastern part of Austria.
The trial training will take place over two days, starting on Wednesday 4 September (from 17:00 approx.) and Friday 6 September (from 17:00 approx.) at the Red Bull Football Academy. Female players will have the chance there to impress and claim a spot in our U16 women's team for 2025/26.
The four steps to making the team
- You can register online until Wednesday 28 August 2024 at the latest. You will find out after that via email whether you are to be invited to the trial. A doctor's certificate will be essential for anyone taking part in the trial.
- In October 2024 (provisionally) those who impress the most at the first trial event will be invited to an additional trial. Everyone who took part will receive either an invitation with details of the second event or a rejection.
- November/December 2024 - there will be a decision made on our squad. All the players from the second trial session will receive either an invitation with details or a rejection.
- Our U16w team for next season will be formed and school intake interviews will begin in December 2024 and January 2025.
It is the same for our girls as it is with the boys - an academic and vocational education alongside the footballing one is a key part of developing youngsters in our society. After the children have completed their Unterstufe schooling, there are cooperations with the following partner schools:
- Christian-Doppler-Gymnasium (Oberstufe: SSM Sport for Football)
- Private Fachschule für Wirtschaft und Leistungssport der AK Salzburg am BFI Salzburg (technical school leaving certificate + apprenticeship as office and sports administrator)
Additional info
- Female footballers who are still in the third class of the Unterstufe level should not change schools!
- Our boarding cooperation partner is Kolpinghaus Salzburg.
- Players will find out what to bring to the trial if they are invited after registration.
